Senate Minority LeaderMitch McConnell said Tuesday that Donald Trump is unlikely to win a second term in the White House.
McConnell didn't mention Trump by name, but he said "there is no room in the Republican party for antisemitism or white supremacy."
McConnell has said that he has an obligation to support the nominee of his party.
McConnell didn't answer reporters' questions about whether he'd support Trump's candidacy for president.
McConnell is the latest in a string of Republican officials who have spoken out about the meeting.
Trump said he wanted to help West, whom he called a "seriously troubled man", by having dinner with him. Trump said that he was a friend of West's who the rapper brought unexpected. The meeting was quick and painless, according to Trump.
West, who last week announced his own presidential bid, has come under fire in recent months for making bizarre, antisemetic comments that have led to businesses cutting ties with him. The Anti-Defamation League said that Fuentes made antisemitic and racist comments on social media after attending the Unite The Right rally.
McCarthy joined these other Republicans after Trump's meeting with white supremacists.
