Rodgers said he expects to play against the Bears after getting good news on his ribs.

Rodgers said he would play this week after getting good news with the scans.

Rodgers has dealt with injuries for a long time. He came into the weekend with a thumb injury and had to leave the game against the Eagles.

I was worried about a punctured lung because I had a hard time breathing and rotating my body in the third quarter. I wanted to make sure that was okay. Rodgers told reporters after the game that he's going to get a Scan tomorrow.

Even though the Packers are on the verge of elimination from playoff contention, the reigning back-to-back Most Valuable Player indicated he wanted to play through his injuries.

He said that they need to win all five of their games in the next five days. I want to be out there as long as we're alive.

Rodgers had a diminished version of himself during the year, throwing for 2,682 yards and 21 touchdown against nine pick ups. His combined total from the past two seasons is his highest since 2010.
