Life without the Packers' quarterback will be difficult.
After leaving the Green Bay Packers game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a rib injury, he expects to play against the Chicago Bears.
Rodgers said that he got good news with the scans. I'm going to play this week.
Rodgers was initially concerned that he might have a lung injury. He had X-rays at Lincoln Financial Field to see if he had fractured ribs but they were not positive and he would have to have more tests in Green Bay.
Monday's tests did not show what he said. Rodgers had a broken thumb and hid it for weeks.
Matt LaFleur said on Monday that if Rodgers were healthy, he would play this week.
During the Packers' 40-33 loss to the Eagles, Rodgers completed 11 of 16 passes for 140 yards and two touchdown with two picks. In two drives, Love went 6-of-9 for 114 yards and a touchdown, with the Packers scoring 10 points while he was at the helm.
The Packers lost for the seventh time in their past eight games and fell to 4-7 with five games to go, prompting talk of moving on to Love for the rest of the season.
Rodgers said on Tuesday's show that they are still alive. We have a chance to see where we are after the last five. That's the thing I'm focused on. I might miss practice on Wednesday, but that's normal for the last six, seven weeks, and then I'll go to one of my favorite places to play down in Chicago and hopefully get a big win.
