"That would be a huge, huge mistake, and it would be a really raw exercise of monopolistic power that would merit a response from the United States Congress," he said.
He was responding to Musk's accusations. Musk accused Apple of threatening to remove the social media company from its app store. Musk accused Apple of being hostile towards free speech.
During his speech on Tuesday, DeSantis praised Musk for his work at Twitter and ran with the comments he made about free speech. A lot of accounts that were unfairly and illegitimately suspended for putting out accurate information about COVID were restored by the billionaire.
He criticized Apple for blocking people in China from using the Airdrop function on their phones during protests against the government.
"Use your corporate power in the United States to smother Americans and try to suppress their right to express themselves, if you want to be a vassal of the Chinese Communist Party," he said.
Last week was the most recent instance in which Musk endorsed DeSantis for president. Musk cast his vote for Joe Biden for president in 2020.
When asked if he would accept support from African Americans, he previously said he would. Musk was born in South Africa and lived there until he was 17 years old.
The account of former President Donald Trump, who was kicked off the platform for inciting the January 6 riot in the US Capitol, has been restored by Musk. Critics of Musk's approach are worried about hate speech on the platform.

The White House was keeping an eye on how Musk was operating his account.
