In order to win the first Test against Pakistan, England may have to be creative, according to James Anderson.

Pakistan has not lost a match since the return of Test cricket.

In the March match against Australia, only 14 wickets fell.

The captain and coach don't want to draw. We're not trying to get a draw.

England have been urged to play with aggression by their captain and coach.

The approach yielded six wins in seven matches but will now be challenged in Pakistan, where England are playing their first Test in 17 years.

We don't know how it will work. Anderson said that it's traditionally flat.

We may have to be creative in how we win the game.

The England and Wales Cricket Board stopped their tours to Pakistan in September of 2009, after the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked.

Pakistan hosted in England in the past. England has lost five and drawn one of the two series they have played.

Anderson, England's all-time leading bowler, is the only member of the current squad that was part of the tour to Pakistan in 2005.

He was happy to be back. It's seventeen years. It wouldn't be right to say the pitch is going to play like this or what to expect.

The team we are playing against is completely different. We need to adapt when we get out there.

The entire series victory against South Africa included only nine days of play, which is far different from the all-action nature of England's summer.

In the final session of the fifth day of the third Test, Australia defeated Pakistan by one run.

In order to win, his side are happy to lose.

Anderson stated that there will be times when they have to soak up pressure. We're aware of that.

There will be times when we need to put pressure on the opposition and we need to develop the skills to do that.

We're trying to get rid of it. The captain and coach have made it clear that every time you run in to bowl, it's about getting a couple of points. It's not about controlling the run rate, it's about how we're going to get 20.
