Musk said that Apple threatened to remove the micro-messaging service from its App Store but wouldn't tell him why. He used a meme to critique Apple's 30% fee for app store purchases. The sign was altered to say "Pay 30%" or "Go to war", with the car in the image going towards war.
The meme was a reference to Musk's previous criticisms of Apple's app store fee.
