One of Vietnam's biggest "drug queens" V Hong Oanh was arrested after evading capture for over four years.

The 65-year-old woman ran a drug ring that moved hundreds of kilograms of heroin, methamphetamine and ecstasy into Vietnam. The sister of a notorious female crime boss who was assassinated in 2000 is also a high-profile criminal.

The Ministry of Public Security said on Nov. 22 that Oanh was arrested abroad in a five-week operation. The drugs were seized in a raid. Between September and October, twenty-eight people were arrested.

In May of last year, seven people were arrested and 39 packs of heroin, 30 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 100,000 ecstasy pills were seized. Oanh escaped and fled the country.

There is a new organization in Philadelphia that is fighting hate.

According to authorities, despite being an international fugitive, Oanh was able to recruit young criminals to keep her ring alive from the Golden Triangle area to Vietnam's busiest cities.

Drugs would be hidden inside car engines and sent to Ho Chi Minh City. They were taken to the Sky House Import, Export and Trading company in Hai Phong.

Anh was one of the people arrested. Two cars and 2 kilograms of drugs were seized by police.
