Gordon was recently released by the Denver Broncos after a rash of turnovers.
Gordon told Fowler that he was on the practice squad of the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the 14th and 17th weeks of the season, the Broncos and Chiefs will meet in Denver and Kansas City.
Gordon has been a Pro Bowler in two of his eight seasons. He played for the Broncos for 212 years. In his career, he has rushed for over 6,000 yards and 55 touchdown and caught over 300 passes with 14 touchdown passes.
He caught 25 passes in 10 games this year. He was released by the Broncos after he fumbled five times.
Isiah Pacheco is the leader in rushing yards. Jerick is fourth on the team with 29 catches. In Sunday's win over the Rams, Ronald Jones made his season debut for the Chiefs and caught one pass for 22 yards and ran for 12 yards.
While on the injured reserve list, he lost a lot of his playing time to Pacheco due to an ankle injury.
