According to reports, Hugh Freeze is going to return to the SEC.
Chris Low reported that Freeze has agreed to become the next head coach at auburn. He was the head coach at Ole Miss for two years. He resigned after admitting to personal misdeeds.
After Saturday's Iron Bowl, an offer is expected to come from Freeze and his alma mater. The Tigers finished the regular season with a 5-7 record and a 2-6 conference record.
The Flames ended the year with three consecutive losses, but Freeze's 8-4 record was still good. Liberty will be paid around $3 million as part of a buy out for hiring Freeze, according to Ross Dellenger.
The Flames qualified for a bowl game for the first time in program history under the leadership of the 53-year-old. Under Freeze, the Flames went three times in the playoffs.
The Rebels had a 39-25 record under Freeze.
