Twitter's character limit might jump from 280 to 1,000

The current character limit on the micro-messaging service is 280 characters.

The owner and CEO of the social media platform replied "it's on the todo list" after a user suggested that the character limit be increased to 1000.

Because of its 140 character limit, it was often referred to as a microblogging service. The limit, which is one of the key differentiating factors of social media services such as Facebook, remained in place even after the limit was raised to 280 characters.

Musk indicated on several occasions that he intended to increase the character limit at the micro-blogging site. Some people think that increasing the character limit will reduce the quality of posts and water down the identity of the service, while others think that it will be a good thing.
