Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic reported that the Dallas Mavericks plan to sign Kemba Walker.
Campazzo will not be on the roster.
It has been a year since Walker was traded to the Detroit Pistons. He was not on the field for the rest of the season.
He was let go by the Pistons in October, costing them $9.2 million.
Walker's time in New York was a disappointment and he struggled with consistency and injuries. After signing Walker to a two-year contract, the team expected him to average more than 10 points and 3.5 assists per game.
The four-time All-Star still showed flashes of his old form, including a 44-point performance against the Washington Wizards last December. He had a triple-double in the Christmas Day win over Atlanta.
As a team, New York continued to struggle, causing the coaching staff to lean towards younger players.
Walker joined a team that has high expectations after reaching the Western Conference Finals last year.
