The trend began in 2021 with a meme shared by the account catz.jpeg, in which a picture of a cat was captioned "4Dadoons." TikTokkers tackle inflation

The freedom of the Dabloon economy has led to inflation due to the fact that anyone can sell items for Dabloons and anyone can make videos that distribute Dabloons.

Fiscal policies have been enacted by TikTok users to fight this. The trust and shame system has made these almost universally accepted. The maximum number of Dabloons that can be given in a single video is capped at 100.

The Dabloon Government and Dabloons HQ are used to inform and police the Dabloon economy.

Not all is good. The Dabloons of other people have been stolen by thieves. Some users in the Dabloon economy have formed a revolt against the capitalist system.

Fun or coping?

The Dabloon economy seems to be a good way to escape. The trend is fun and creative and I like it, it reminds me of games I used to make up with my friends when I was a kid.

Could it be a way to cope? Alice Williams believes that the trend is a reaction to the current economic climate.

She said that it was a comedy because it presented an active fear in a safe and defeatable way. It is TikTok's answer to the energy crisis.
