Kody was taking his relationship problems out on her.
On Sunday's episode of "Sister Wives," tensions were running high between Kody Brown and his second wife, who he felt didn't respect him.
In season 17 she moved out of her home in Arizona into an RV on the Brown family's property with her daughter Savanah. She hoped the rest of the family would go ahead with their plans to build there.
She told Kody she wanted to rent a home until her house was built because living in the RV was harder than she thought.
Kody wanted Janelle to buy Christine's house so they could rent it out in the future because it was on the market at the time. She said she could not afford the mortgage on both of the houses. She thought she could have her house built in a year.
The only reason Kody wanted to buy Christine's house was that he wanted to keep it in the family, as opposed to thinking of her needs, according to a solo interview with the man. She didn't want Kody to steamroll her into doing what he wanted to do.
In a scene from Sunday's episode, Kody went to Janelle's RV to tell her that her plans to build a house had to be delayed.
Kody had a "hard summer" and was blaming Christine for making the building issues on Coyote Pass "all my problem", according to a report. Kody's behavior was "astounding", she said.
In an interview, Kody said that he was resisting the idea because he felt disrespected by her. During the Pandemic, Kody tried to make her feel bad about visiting her kids, but she told him to stop.
When you don't respect me, I won't break my back for you. Kody said in his interview that he doesn't know who will break their back to finish the project.
Men don't like women who don't respect them. He said that he feels like Janelle struggles to respect him. Don't bother with love if you don't respect me.
