Josh Jacobs was unsure if he would play on Sunday. The fourth-year running back of the Las Vegas Raiders had to test out his left calf after hurting it in a noncontact drill.

The Raiders coaching staff wanted to sit him for the rest of the game after he made it worse late in the game.

Jacobs said that he convinced them to go. The biggest play of the game took place after that.

Jacobs burst through a big hole on the right side of the line, untouched, for a walk-off 86-yard touchdown run with 4 minutes, 20 seconds to play in the overtime period to give the Raiders a 40-34 victory against the Seattle Seahawks.

Jacobs set franchise records for all-purpose yards and rushing. He is the fourth player in the Super Bowl era to have at least 300 all-purpose yards and two touchdown in a game.

"That mentality that Jacobs brings, the way he runs and the way he finishes, he's always finishing forward," said Carr, who celebrated his 13th career walk-off.

The happiest person in the building, besides me, is Josh Jacobs. We are seeing the results of that now.

Jacobs, a first-round draft pick of the Raiders out of Alabama, did not have his fifth-year option picked up. Jacobs is having his best season yet.

With six games remaining in this contract year, he is already up to 1,161 rushing yards, the fifth highest total in franchise history, trailing Marcus Allen (1,759 in 1985), Napoleon Kaufman (1,294 in 1997), Mark van Eeghen (1,273 in 1977) and Allen (1

With three 1,000-yard rushing seasons, Jacobs has tied Allen and van Eeghen for most such seasons in Raiders history.

The attention Seattle paid to Raiders All-Pro receiver Davante Adams was a factor in some of Jacobs' production.

"We didn't tackle him as well as we needed to, and we didn't plan it as well as we needed to."

He was running out of things to say about his running back.

He is a football player. That's probably the best compliment I can give him, and he comes up big.

It's more than just what he does on the field, it's how he practices, it's how he prepares, it's how much he wants to win. He would like to win. He works hard to help us.

The Raiders won in Seattle for the first time since 1998 with a walk-off touchdown. The Green Bay Packers and the 2001 Chicago Bears are the only other teams to have done that.

The Raiders had the ball first in overtime and attempted a field goal. Jacobs' run from the Raiders' 14-yard line was set up by a three-and-out by the Seattle. The 35th anniversary of Bo Jackson's performance at the old Seattle Kingdome was three days away.

Half of the defense looked at MackHollins because he didn't know what he was doing on the play. He asked what the play was. I told the person to line up.

I saw a big hole when I hit the gap, and I just tried to run as fast as I can.

Jacobs was told that he wasn't fast.

He chuckled and said it was all about angles. It's all about the angle.

Jacobs was laughing as he told a reporter about how fresh he felt, the best he had felt in a long time.

He said there were no injuries. It's weird.

He smiled as he sat in the locker room.

He said that he had jinxed it.

It's not a big deal." It's not something crazy. Something that I definitely need to take care of is nothing that I think will set me back.
