Schiff says McCarthy will 'misrepresent his record' and oust him from his committee position thanks to the 'QAnon caucus'

The House Minority Leader vowed to remove Democrats from their committee positions if McCarthy becomes Speaker.

McCarthy's bid to become Speaker of the House could be jeopardized by members of the Freedom Caucus who are aligned with Donald Trump. McCarthy promised to restore her committee assignments after she said she'd vote for him.

McCarthy was willing to do anything to get the 218 votes needed in the House to become Speaker, according to the leader of the House Intelligence Committee.

McCarthy can't get to 218 without the help of Gosar and Gaetz. He will do what they want. They want to remove me from our committees. He's ready to do it. He's willing to do whatever is asked of him. That's the issue.

McCarthy was warned that he would "misrepresent his record" and other House members' records if he tried to remove their seats.
