A flight attendant died of a heart attack while working on a flight.
The flight attendant died at the hospital on Tuesday. At 1:40 am on Tuesday, he was part of the cabin crew on the plane. The attendant on the flight had a heart attack after an hour and a half in the air.
The plane made an emergency landing in Erbil, but it was too late for him.
The flight resumed to Paris as scheduled after the national carrier expressed its deepest sympathies to the crew member and his family.
The statement said that the safety of its passengers and crew comes at the top of its priorities.
The plane was stuck in the air for three hours before being allowed to leave again. The same crew members from the original flight were present.
If there is an inflight heart attack, the airport has the right facilities and responders in place. Most airlines have access to medical professionals via satellite phone and flight attendants are trained to give medical support during emergencies.
