One family's game night turned violent and ended in gunplay when a fight broke out between two men during a game of Monopoly

The family was playing at a house on the east side of the city. They had been drinking.

The man got into an argument with his stepmom which turned physical. They knocked over furniture and flipped the Monopoly board after a family member asked them to stop.

Police said the suspect pulled out a gun during the struggle.

The station reported that his stepsister and his mother ran away and that he shot at them. He said he fired a shot at the ground.

There were scattered Monopoly pieces in the living room but the gun wasn't found.

Police said that he was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
