After Michigan defeated Ohio State 45-23 on Saturday, Michael Barrett grabbed a giant Michigan flag and ran the width of the end zone, waving it in front of the rest of the UM fans.
The Michigan players planted the flag at the 50-yard line after running up the field with the flag behind them. The Oklahoma flag was planted after the Sooners defeated Ohio State.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was asked how he felt after his players did the same thing.
Harbaugh wants to put the flag in the museum.
He didn't say how it made him feel or if he thought it was a bad idea, but he said that anything goes in this rivalry.
Harbaugh thinks there's a lot of fuel to the rivalry. They don't care about the whole state of Michigan. It's all great. It has been going on for a long time.
It's all good
This rivalry has seen teams taunting the other in the past. Josh Gattis said after Ohio State's win that the team was not a power team on the radio. It was reported that coach Ryan Day told his players to hang 100 points on Michigan before the 2020 game, but this year was different with minimal bulletin board material provided.
Harbaugh said that he and his team were grateful for their opponent before Saturday's game and kept most of their comments complimentary towards the Ohio State.
Harbaugh calls this season a happy mission and refers to his players as happy warriors. It was all smiles after the win over Ohio State, and that is the same mindset they will take to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship game.
