A former White House aide to President Obama said that President Trump doesn't like denying he knows someone.
He tries to say that he doesn't know white nationalists. "But he'll wink and nod in the same breath, and say 'Proud boys, stand back and stand by,'" she said during an appearance on MSNBC's "TheKatie Phang Show."
Beverly's comments came after Trump hosted West and a Holocaust denier at his Mar-a-Lago resort. The Anti-Defamation League labeled him a white supremacist after he participated in the "Unite the Right" rally in Virginia.

Although a source said he took a liking to the man, Trump said in a statement that he had never met him and didn't know anything about him. The visit left Trump's advisers scrambling to get ready for the consequences.
Beverly told MSNBC that this is a man who uses the defense of ignorance all the time but continues to further the types of violence, the types of hate crimes, the types of white supremacy that helped keep him in office.
