Eddie Jackson was ruled out for the rest of the game for the Bears.
Jackson went down with a noncontact injury while defending the 54-yard touchdown pass by Mike White. The Bears had single-high coverage. While backpedaling, the safety went down at the 30-yard line and planted his left foot in the turf.
Jackson had to be helped off the field by members of the Bears' athletic training staff. After going into the medical tent for evaluation, he was ruled out. Jackson was taken to the locker room.
Through 12 games, the 29-year-old safety has four picks up, which is third most in the league. During the Jets game, Jackson had two tackles and a pass defended. In the second quarter, he almost picked off White.
The Bears' top wide receiver was hurt in the third quarter and had to return to the locker room. The man didn't come back to the game.
