It is time to make your Caribbean escape if your idea of a winter vacation is playing snowmen for sand castles. The Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club is located overlooking the white sands of the bay. There is a farm with ebb and flow Hydroponics that can grow dozens of varieties of vegetables, a 27,000 square-foot spa, and a new nine-hole golf course. You can go hiking, try kitesurfing, take a steel pan class, or swing by the fitness studio for a guided meditation when you're not on the green. The resort is going to open a water park and an amphitheater for live entertainment. You can choose from a room with a wraparound terrace, a multi-bedroom villa, or an estate home with a private pool and butler.

The CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa and its sister hotel, the Reef by CuisinArt on Merrywing Bay, will remain open year-round, even in the fall, when other resorts on the island are closed. The rates are from December to January. Are you traveling from New York. The resort will begin offering charter flights to Anguilla on December 22. The second largest reef system in the world is located in the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a short distance from the Autograph Collection on Ambergris Caye. The property has scuba diving and snorkeling excursions directly from its dock as well as PADI instruction and certification through the on-site shop.

The reef is just one of many draws. There is a rooftop pool and lounge at the first Marriott International resort in the country. If you want to explore the streets of San Pedro in a golf cart, you can rent one at the hotel. You can retire to one of the 155 guest rooms and suites after a night at one of the bars. Sitting atop a lush green mountain ridge with views of the Caribbean Sea, Coulibri Ridge has all the trappings of a resort but is completely off the grid. The retreat uses solar energy as its primary power source, grows much of its own produce, and is able to purify the water through its two swimming pools. Each has a terrace with a view of the sea, as well as a kitchenette, binoculars and a bird's eye view book. Some of the suites have a second terrace that overlooks the Sulphur Spring Valley.

There are ruins from an 18th-century estate, as well as tropical gardens and an apple grove. It is easy to get to Dominica from Miami International Airport. There is a special opening package with rates starting at $500 per night. Rates start at $800 a night during the Christmas and New Year's period. Lunch and dinner are la carte.

If you have ever been sunbathing on the pale sands of Punta Cana and thought to yourself, "If only I could battle a fictional character in a battle right now," then the all-inclusive Falcon's Resort by Meli is the place for you. Falcon's Resort by Meli is a new brand from Meli Hotels International, which was founded in Mallorca in 1955. The resort is part of a new entertainment hub where you can find interactive rides and attractions, as well as a shopping, dining and entertainment district.

622 suites will be created at the resort when it is complete in 2023. It will have the sort of amenities you would expect from an all-inclusive Caribbean vacation, with swim-up suites beside a pool, a water park, kid's camp, bars and restaurants, but there will also be admission to the theme park. Each resort guest will receive a preview pass to the park before it opens to the public in early 2023.

The company has opened several hotels in Mexico this year, including the 173 room-and-suite Waldorf Astoria Cancun. Travelers who want to explore beyond the beach, and save money while they are at it, may be interested in the 115-room Motto by Hilton in the Hunab Lifestyle Center.

Travelers who want to feel like locals, with easy access to prime locations and lively communal working and socializing spaces, will be attracted to the Motto by Hilton brand. Two rooftop pools, a rooftop bar, a casual bistro, and a fitness center can be found among the shared spaces at Motto. The average guest room is under 200 square feet and can be booked by friends and families. A queen bed that can fit into the wall is one of the flexible sleeping setups in guest rooms. It's free to use the wi-fi and parking at the hotel, and the rates are flexible, so you can eat out for less in December. The $30 credit per stay will be given to those who book and stay by April 1,23.

After being closed due to damage from hurricanes, Le Guanahani resort was a place for laid-back luxury for more than three decades. There are still two dreamy beaches dotted with palm trees, but the place has been redecorated and reopened.

Young guests can take cooking and gardening classes at a children's club. There is a blow-dry bar, nail salon, and tennis facility. The Beach House St. Barth serves French and Caribbean cuisine. It may be difficult to leave your cottage. Private outdoor space can be found in each of the 66 sunny rooms and suites. They have their own pools. The high season is January through April and the low season is June through October.

Rock House was inspired by cliff-side homes and villas in Europe and was a departure from the resort scene at Grace Bay beach. There are 46 stand-alone homes and studios in Providenciales. One- and two-bedroom homes have terraces, vaulted ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows from which to view the water, while the studios have a view of the 100 foot pool.

Adriatic cuisine, including seafood, pasta and aged steaks, can be found at the Beach Club at Rock House. Afterwards, you can go kayaking or snorkeling, follow a walking or jogging trail, take a yoga class, or stretch out on a jetty that extends into the ocean to soak up the sun. There is an offer of up to 20 percent off the "best available rate" for arrivals through December 20, 2023.
