The incoming Republican majority in the House will spend less money to fund the war against Russia than the Democrats do, according to Rep. Mike Turner.
Turner told Martha that he will get bipartisan support in the next congress.
Turner said Republicans will scrutinize how much is being spent.
Turner said that Democrats don't need to pass big bills to send money to Ukraine. It was very frustrating for the Ukrainians when they heard of the large numbers in the United States as a result of the Democrat bills.
The Republicans will have a slim majority in the lower chamber when the new Congress convenes in January.
Due to the Senate being in Democrats' hands, both parties will have to work together to keep funding Ukraine, which is preparing for a new phase in the war over the winter months.
Some of the billions of dollars Democrats have passed for Ukraine are unrelated spending, according to Republicans.
President Biden wants Congress to pass an additional $37 billion before the end of the year so that Ukraine can get funding for the rest of the year.
Turner said Republicans will make sure that Ukraine gets what it needs after Russia bombarded the country with missiles.
He said that they needed to pull together an air defense system to defend the city.
