The College Football Playoff will be a reality for the first time in 2022.

The third-ranked Michigan turned a three-point halftime deficit against the second-ranked Ohio State into a 45-23 victory. In the second half, Michigan ran for more than 200 yards behind two touchdown runs by Edward. It was the second-most rushing yards by a Michigan player against Ohio State in the history of the game.

Michigan had five scores of at least 45 yards. Since 2004, it's the most by any team against an AP Top 5 opponent.

USC moved its way into the discussion of the playoffs with a 38-27 win over Notre Dame. USC has not had a quarterback in the last 25 years with three rushing touchdown in a game.

The top two teams in the country, Georgia and TCU, won their games over Georgia Tech and Iowa State.

The first SEC program to do so since Alabama in 2008 is Georgia.

It was the seventh Big 12 team to achieve the mark and the first since Texas in 2009.
