  • Cardi B wore a dress for Halloween that was inspired by the character Marge Simpson.

  • The rapper is being sued by the creator of the original art.

  • Palombo's lawyer says the artist misappropriated his work.

A contemporary pop artist known for transforming The Simpsons in his art says he could take action against someone for recreating his work.

The Italian artist claims that his work was never used by the rapper for her post in which she depicted Marge Simpson in a dress.

A picture of Palombo's art was used in a series of photos that she posted.

She paid homage to the designer whose dress inspired Palombo's work in her post.

Palombo, the creator of the artwork for Vogue UK, wrote in a post that he didn't get a reply after he contacted the artist.

The lawyer working with Palombo told Artnet News that Cardi B broke the rules when she used Palombo's work.

Volpi told Artnet that after the image was posted on the social media accounts of Cardi B and two of her team members, Palombo reached out to them and requested that those involved fix the error.

Volpi sent a formal notice to Cardi B and her team if they didn't fulfill their requests.

A man sued the rapper for using his tattoos in her raunchy album art.

Representatives for Palombo did not reply to the request for comment.
