According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Anthony Davis will miss the Lakers game against the Spurs with a left calf contusion.

Davis was questionable for the game.

Through 16 games, the 29-year-old is averaging 26.3 points, 12.8 rebound, 1.6 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game.

In his 11th NBA season and fourth in L.A., the eight-time All-Star and four-time All-NBA player is playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

He has been injured a lot over the past three seasons. He missed 36 games in 2020-21 due to injuries.

He missed 42 of 83 games last year due to injuries.

AD did not play in the first four games of the season because of lower back tightness.

Even with Davis' production, the Lakers started the season with an 0-4 record. It's not easy to replace him in a trying season.

L.A. went with a smaller lineup with Troy Brown Jr. replacing Davis in the starting lineup. There was a big man on the bench.

As they look to dig themselves out of a hole, the Lakers could use Davis back as soon as possible.
