In London, a majority points victory was achieved by Dillian Whyte.

Franklin was almost stopped in the final seconds.

Two of the three judges saw it as a 115-115 draw.

Anthony Joshua was watching as people looked at the possibility of a second fight between the two British rivals.

Franklin was unhappy with the scorecards and called for a second fight.

The 29-year-old said that he felt robbed on the decision.

He admitted that he was fighting to a new set of instructions and that his corner told him to keep his jab.

It's the most difficult thing to beat on this planet.

He has a lot of things in his body. His stock went up.

I could've been a bit more active.

Whyte's comeback falls flat

He had 19 knockouts on his record before his fight with Franklin and there were high hopes for a return inside the OVO Arena.

The Jamaican fighter was in action for the first time since being defeated by Tyson Fury.

From the first bell, the tone for the fight was to feel out Franklin rather than try to get early success.

The American was throwing most of the punches and he did a small damage to the Englishman in the third with a right and left hand combination.

Franklin landed another long one in the fourth.

A flurry of hits was fired off by Whyte just as it seemed that the pace was slow. The moment wasn't long.

The fifth round was the same pattern as the rest of the fight.

Franklin took his foot off the gas when he was pushed back by Whyte.

Franklin invited Whyte onto him. The crowd was trying to encourage the fighters on.

He was tagged by a Franklin right hand, but seemed to be unaffected by his opponent's strength.

He slowed down after smirking at Franklin.

The crowd's encouragement fell on its head as the man who thought he was ahead on the scorecards strolled to the final bell.

He landed a big right on Franklin in the 10th round as he tried to execute his plan.

The American didn't fall. Hopes rose in the arena for a late knockout, but they were quickly dashed as the two boxers settled into their previous rhythm for the final two rounds.

He hurt Franklin by landing his first clean left hand.

Franklin's opponent fell into the ropes but the bell saved him.

It was a strange performance from the man who has built a career on his crowd-pleasing fights.

Perhaps he has done his chances of convincing his long-term nemesis to face him again no harm with Joshua watching on.

Wardley survives firefight against Gorman

Wardley has 14 knockouts from 15 wins

Wardley came through with the title after a hard fought match.

The second round was when Wardley's nose was broken. The blood poured from Wardley's shattered nose as he tried to finish the fight.

Wardley jumped forward and landed on a stunned Gorman after the injury.

He put his opponent down with a flurry of right hands and stood over him.

The bell saved the 26 year old after he was down again.

Gorman was caught by a huge right hand in the third and fell against the ropes.

He climbed back to his feet, but with Wardley piling on the pressure, he threw in the towel.

Eddie said that the performance from his fighter was exciting.

With 14 knockouts, Wardley is now perfect in fifteen outings.

The year is twenty-three. The year is the one that I really kick on.
