The Queens Park Rangers manager is being talked about by Rangers.

It is thought that discussions with Beale, who was part of Steven Gerrard's coaching staff, are at an advanced stage.

The 42 year old is their number one target and other candidates have also been considered.

An appointment is possible next week.

Queens Park Rangers are currently seventh in the Championship and have lost their last four games.

The man who was in charge of Rangers for just a year was fired earlier this month with the team nine points behind leaders Celtic.

Even though they made it to last season's Europa League final, the Ibrox side's group stage campaign was the worst ever.

In 2021, Rangers halted Celtic's bid for 10 league titles, with the former captain joining the team the following season.
