The Boston Bruins set an NHL record for most home victories to start a season with their 12th straight, beating the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in overtime Friday.
The Bruins equaled the record of 11 set by the Chicago Hawks in the 1960's.

Boston, which trailed 2-0 late in the second period, tied it with 9:33 left in the game on a goal by David Krejci.

Boston's tying goal was initially ruled out because of goalie interference on Nick Foligno, but that was overturned on a coach's challenge after it was determined that he was bumped into the crease.
Ullmark left the game with an injury in the third period, making 28 saves. He was trying to block a shot when his teammate leaped on him. In relief, Jeremy Swayman stopped six times.
Carolina shut out the NHL's highest- scoring team for nearly two periods and jumped ahead of them with two power-play goals in the first period.
