A man is threatening a woman with a razor.
A man from Utah is accused of holding a razor to a woman's throat and telling her husband to get out of here.
The US Justice Department's District of Utah office said Merrill Fackrell, from Syracuse, Utah, was charged with carrying a weapon on a flight.
He boarded Flight B6871 at John F. Kennedy International Airport with a razor for barbers.
He put his hand in front of the video screen of the woman sitting next to him and ordered her to stop watching her movie.
Fackrell was holding the razor to the woman's throat.
Fackrell yelled, "She's going to be OK" and "No one needs to worry" as he stood up in the window seat.
The man told the man sitting in the aisle seat to get out of here.
The wife jumped into the aisle to escape from Fackrell as her husband went to the front of the plane to look for a flight attendant.
A passenger on the plane got the suspect to put down the razor after they moved to the front of the plane.
Flight attendants secured the object and Fackrell was arrested at the airport.
Fackrell was ordered held by a judge in Utah.
His defense wanted him to be released to his parents in Utah because of his lack of criminal record and need for medical treatment.
