The mechanisms against hate speech have been dismantled by Musk.
Musk said on Thursday that he would give "amnesty" to all suspended accounts. Musk ran a poll on the platform that got over three million responses. The majority of respondents voted in favor of reinstating those accounts.
People have spoken. Next week will be the start of a human rights organization. Musk said that the voice of the people is the voice of God.
Musk has loosened the platform's grip on enforcement of posts with hate speech since buying it. Donald Trump's account was restored by Musk last week, after it was permanently suspended due to the insurrection at the capitol.
According to NBC News, the European Union regulators published a report that found fewer hate-speech posts were removed by the social networking site.
According to a sample analyzed in the EU report, the number of hate speech posts removed by the social media platform is worse than any other platform.
It is not the only account that has been revived. Other accounts that have been reinstated since Musk's ownership include a Republican representative, Andrew Tate, who has a reputation of spreading misogynistic and violent comments about women, and a psychologist who had his account suspended after posting racist and sexist comments.
Musk criticized the platform for failing to adhere to free speech principles before he took control. He previously said that he was going to create a moderation council. The recent exodus of employees may make it difficult for Musk to carry out his vision for the company. Musk's ultimatum to his workforce to either work long hours at high intensity or quit has caused thousands of employees to leave the company.
