The goal of Female Invest was to create a community where women who wanted to invest in the stock market, but weren't sure where to start, could gain the knowledge and confidence to do so. Users will be able to do it all within the platform.

The trading platform that focuses on investing in companies with sustainable goals will be integrated into the startup's app. Three months prior to the transaction, the startup raised at a $3 million valuation.

Adding the ability to invest directly through Female Invest is a step in the right direction.

The features and products that were requested by the community have always been the focus of the company. Every day, we get requests for the chance to trade directly through us.

She thinks that the platform's users trust it enough to get that request so often. According to a recent survey, 98% of customers would trust Female Invest more than their bank.

In the last year, Female Invest has built up the company in a way that makes it easier to integrate trading. They raised an additional $3 million in funding after building out an app and expanding their tech team.

They realized it might make more sense for Female Invest to partner with an existing trading platform as opposed to building their own when they discovered Gaia Investments.

She said that Gaia has a strong brand in the Nordics and that they are interested in it. It became clear as the talks went on that it was a good move for us.

Mads Sverre Willumsen said that the team at Gaia felt the same.

He said that they had seen the journey that Female Invest had been on in the past three years. The decision was easy after we talked about it.

Both companies looked to create an investing product that they felt wasn't needed and didn't exist

The founders of Female Invest realized there wasn't a good resource for women to learn how to invest. When David's mother asked him if there was a safe place to invest in sustainable companies, he realized that the platform she was looking for didn't exist.

Sverre Willumsen said that the acquisition made sense for Gaia because they were more interested in expanding the reach of their product than being a startup.

He said that he wasn't a founder in the first place. It was an opportunity to make a lot of innovation and a difference in a short time.

As the platform integrates into Female Invest, the current Gaia users will be offloaded with their money returned in full. After the European Union and the U.K., the ability to trade will be available for Female Invest users.

This year has seen a rise in the consolidation of early-stage startups, and it seems that some of these smaller companies will combine to avoid being left behind in the future. We will see more of this next year.

The long-term plan is in place for Female Invest.

"Our vision is to create an extremely user-friendly, and easy to navigate, platform with a focus on sustainable practices to invest in the values that matter to them." A loyal user base who is waiting for the next product is a great starting point.
