You're not alone if you've run into abrupt "can't play title" errors when trying to stream content on your Apple TV. I discovered last week that other people are dealing with it as well.

The issue seems to occur on Apple TV 4K devices, all generations, and is happening on the latest version of the HBO Max app. Force quitting the app, logging out of the app, or restarting the Apple TV can be used to solve intermittent issues.

Chris said they are working on a fix. The company's specialized support team followed up with my own ticket and recommended looking for upcoming updates to help resolve the issue.

The problem didn't help me I was helped by the customer support of the company. I received a solution that helps others remedy the situation, and it involves turning off the high definition tv.

The solution is turned off.

There is only part of the solution that I don't have. From the Apple TV Home Screen, go to settings, then video and audio Change Format to SDR, turn off Match Dynamic Range, and turn off Match Frame Rate are required in this section.

This didn't work for me immediately, but it worked the next day. I don't own a newer high-end TV than others.

The customer support team tried to change the resolution to 720p or1080p. I have only had one error since Monday, so I didn't need to take action. I hope you won't be left out in the cold when watching a Thanksgiving classic in 4K.
