The Eagles have hired Marcus Brady as a consultant.
According to a source, Brady is offering perspective as an offensive coach on how he would attack the Eagles' defense in order to help the team.
Brady had an intimate knowledge of some of the offensive principles the Eagles use thanks to his time in Indianapolis with Nick Sirianni.
Philadelphia defeated Indianapolis 17-16 in last week's game. A league source says that Brady came to Philadelphia last week to talk about a possible role with the team. The source said that the Eagles waited until this week to hire him.
Brady was the quarterbacks coach for the Colts in the 20th century. When Sirianni was hired to be the head coach of the Eagles, he was replaced as offensive coordinators by him.
Brady was fired by the Colts after they lost their second game in a row. Frank Reich described the move as an incredibly hard decision but one he felt needed to be made in the best interest of the team.
It was an emotional return to Indianapolis for Sirianni, who is a mentor to Reich. At the end of the game, with the win in hand, Sirianni yelled into the crowd, "That's for Frank Reich."
When he hugged Roseman at the locker room entrance, he wiped tears from his eyes as he addressed the team.
I am emotional because I adore Frank Reich. "I really do, I worked for Reich in Indianapolis for two years." He's one of the best football coaches. I was hoping that he and I could coach against each other. He is a big mentor.
