Many people will be spending a lot of time with family and friends. If you have some extra time in the coming weeks, we thought we'd create a handy list of Apple TV+ shows and movies that are suitable for viewing with family members of all ages.

Spirited

"Spirited" is a great holiday movie starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds plays Scrooge in a remake of A Christmas Carol called "Spirited".

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

You can watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on Apple TV+ if you're a fan of the show. In this classic, everyone is invited to Charlie Brown's for Thanksgiving by Peppermint Patty.

Ted Lasso

If you don't catch up on "Ted Lasso" or have a family member who doesn't, it's a touching show that always pleases. It's worth a watch or a rewatch to see Sudeikis take over the role of Ted Lasso. There are two full seasons to choose from.

Mythic Quest

A game studio that produces a popular online game is the focus of a new comedy series. Even if you're not a fan of video games, this show is hilarious.

There are three seasons available, with season three new as of just a couple weeks ago.

Loot

Maya Rudolph plays a billionaire in the movie "Loot" who divorces her cheating husband and gets back to her real life. It's a quick watch with episodes that are less than 30 minutes in length.

Trying

The show is about a couple who want to have children. It's hard to not like this show because of the chemistry between the main characters.

Schmigadoon

Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michal Key play an on-the-rocks couple stuck in the magical singing and dancing town of Schmigadoon. True love is the only way to go.

The After Party

A group of classmates are being investigated for murder after one of them dies. It's a mystery and you can figure it out with the detective. This is a quick watch because most episodes are not long.

Long Way Up

"Long Way Up" is an easy to watch show that features two people riding their motorcycles around the world. Two of the older shows in the same series are binge worthy.

CODA

A coming-of-age story about a child of two adults and her struggle between living her life and taking care of her family It's worth watching if you haven't already seen it.

Some of the more serious, dramatic shows and movies on Apple TV are not suitable for kids or for a fun gathering.

  • Severance - A TV show where workers have their minds severed so their work persona doesn't know anything about their home persona, and vice versa.
  • Emancipation - A film starring Will Smith as a slave who risks his life to escape.
  • Black Bird - A fantastic limited series where drug dealer Jimmy Keene is given the option for a reduced sentence if he can befriend a brutal serial killer.
  • The Morning Show - A morning news team that deals with all kinds of drama, starting with the Me Too movement.
  • Servant - A spooky but slow TV series that unravels a mystery over several seasons.
  • Physical - Rose Byrne plays an exercise-obsessed working mom with body issues in "Physical."
  • Calls - If you're in the mood for something scary and original, "Calls" is an audio-only TV series that uses audio with limited visuals to tell an engrossing story.
