The Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday that seven Michigan State football players will be charged with crimes stemming from the assault on two University of Michigan players.

A video shows a defensive back hitting a defensive back with his helmet. Windmon is charged with one count of assault and battery.

A group of people, including Itayvion Brown, are being charged with assault. A group of players hit and kicked Ja' Den McBurrows while he was on the ground.

Once more video evidence was revealed, Windmon, Wright, White and Malcolm Jones were suspended as well.

Jones was not accused of a crime.

Santa J. Ono said that the University of Michigan appreciated the thoughtful approach from the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office. We are concerned for the players who were injured. The University of Michigan will work with any additional reviews.

George Green said that the family plans to pursue charges against those involved in the altercation.

The prosecutor said in the statement that there will be no further comment at this time.

The concussion Green suffered kept him out of one game, but he came back to play in Michigan's 34-3 victory over Nebraska.

The Michigan team was not allowed to enter the tunnel until the Nebraska players left the field at halftime and after the game.
