DOJ seeking to question Pence in criminal probe of Trump trying to stay in White House, report says

The New York Times reported that the Department of Justice wants to question the former Vice President about the criminal investigation of Donald Trump.

According to the Times, a special counsel was appointed last week to oversee the investigation, which is being looked into by the vice president.

The select House committee is investigating the Capitolriot.

The Times reported that Thomas Windom, one of the lead investigators, reached out to Mr. Pence's team in the weeks before the election.

Since losing the 2020 election to Joe Biden, the Republican Trump has claimed that the Democrat's victory was due to ballot fraud in several swing states.

The joint session of Congress was disrupted by a mob of Trump supporters in January of 2021.

The Capitol was a hive of activity when rioters swarmed through it. As police battled the mob, he was taken to a safe location.
