According to reports, the menu at the New York office of the company has been changed in order to cut costs.
One employee told the New York Times that on Monday, the cafeteria offered two types of macaroni and cheese and a salad bar, but didn't offer grilled shrimp.
Musk was not happy with the meal offerings from the social networking site. He claimed that the company was losing $400 per meal because of the free lunches.
Musk's estimate was disputed by a former employee who said it was a lie.
We spent up to $25 a day for breakfast and lunch. Employees were able to work through lunchtime. There was anywhere from 20% to 50% attendance in the office.
