It is not yet known who will take over for Wilson.

People in the New York Jets organization believed that Wilson would get another chance to be the starting quarterback.

The Jets were held to just two yards in the second half of their 10-3 loss to the New England Pats. The Jets locker room was a hive of frustration after Wilson completed just nine of 22 passes.

The wide receiver apologized to reporters. We know that we are not sorry. It hurts because of that. We are better than that. It hurts because of that. In practice, it begins. The things we see and don't call out need to be better. It needs to get called out. This isn't acceptable. It's not enough to feel like this. Hopefully, this is a wake-up for some people in the facility who need to get on with their lives.

The young quarterback was criticized for saying that he didn't think the offense let down the defense, which held the Pats to three points. Cornerback Sauce Gardener and defensive end John Franklin-Myers liked to criticize Wilson.

Do you think it's a mistake? The reporter asked if he agreed with Wilson's comments. Is it something he's going to be better from? It's absolutely true.
