Regional leaders in Russia have written to President Putin, asking him to end his military deployment in the war in Ukraine.

The letter was posted to her Telegram channel by a member of the Legislative Assembly. The letter was signed by both of them. The Yabloko political party is opposed to the war in Ukraine.

Russia's Defense Ministry has not issued a legal guarantee that the call-ups wouldn't happen again.

She urged Putin to issue a decree stating that the call to arms was over, just as he did.

The lack of such a decree affects the psychological state of society and is a source of increased anxiety among Russian families.

In the letter, Slabunova and Boluchevskaya said they received appeals from people who were worried that the mobilization would continue despite the government statements.

The deputy's letter was not seen by Putin's press secretary.

The Russian government's press service didn't reply immediately.

As chatter intensified that Russia may be planning another draft, Slabunova's letter came as a surprise.

According to the Institute of War, pro-Kremlin military bloggers in Russia have been spreading rumors that there will be another deployment in December or January of 2020.

The image of a draft summons received by a resident of St. Petersburg has been discussed by Russian telegram channels.

The institute wrote that the court was operating on the legal basis that the soldier was brought to court for assault on the commander.

The institute said that another wave of deployment will only make the situation worse and degrade the quality of the Russian troops that will be sent to the frontline.

An advisor to the Ukrainian Internal Affairs minister accused Russia of preparing to draft hundreds of thousands of new soldiers. Insider wasn't able to verify the authenticity of the claim.

According to The Kyiv Independent, the General Staff of the Ukrainians claimed that Russia continues to mobilize troops in the occupied peninsula.
