According to sources, Lane Kiffin met with his players Tuesday and assured them that he wouldn't accept a job at another school.

According to sources, Kiffin felt as if he owed it to his players and their parents to address the situation after a report surfaced Monday that he would step down. The job hasn't been offered to anyone yet, according to the TV station.

According to sources, he told the players that he was focused on Mississippi State and that there were no reports of him accepting another offer.

The Egg Bowl rivalry between Ole Miss and Mississippi State will take place on Thursday.

According to sources, Kiffin and Freeze are at the forefront of the search for a new head coach. The Iron Bowl rivalry game will take place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After replacing Bryan Harsin, Cadillac Williams led the Tigers to two straight victories.

In his third season at Ole Miss, Kiffin led the Rebels to a 10 win regular season. Ole Miss has lost three of its past four games, the most recent of which was a 42-27 defeat at Arkansas.

After being asked if he was excited about the future at Ole Miss, Kiffin said he was.

After the Arkansas loss, Kiffin said he didn't know much about the candidates. If they watched the first half, I might not be the top ranked person.
