According to reports, the New York Knicks are looking for a first-round pick.
Quickley has been made available by the Knicks, but they want a strong draft pick for the third-year guard. Quickley has flashed occasional promise but has struggled to develop into a consistently effective player.
During his NBA career, Quickley has never topped 40 percent from the floor and is currently shooting a career-low 30.8 percent from three-point range. He's become a good rebounder as a 6'3" guard, thanks in large part to his defense, and he's still a significant part of the rotation.
The hardest breaks to stop are the ones where guards get the long rebound and they just go with it. The advantage is going to be yours. I like when he busts out.
It's not clear if any team will give up a first-round pick for Quickley, who lacks progression on the offensive end. A team may have to pay Quickley more than he is worth because he is eligible for an extension this summer.
The Knicks failed in their pursuit of Mitchell, so they are still looking for a trade. They head into a short Thanksgiving break at 9-9 and are not good enough to make a difference in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
