Despite the country's economic concerns, Americans are excited to spend during the holidays.

Entrepreneurs have many online platforms to sell their products. If you have a direct-to-consumer brand, you'll want to use a platform like Shopify. You can list your items on either eBay or Poshmark. You should check out Popshop Live or Whatnot if you sell collectibles.

Getting your products on multiple marketplaces can help you reach different types of customers. Pinklily, a women's clothing brand, made $65 million in 2020 by selling across social-media channels.

Insider has a database of platforms that can be used to sell your products.

eBay

The best place to find rare and collectible items is on eBay. If you sell through auctions you could make more money than if you list through other platforms.

It's free to list up to 250 items a month, but it's not free after that. eBay takes a small commission on sales, but transaction fees are dependent on the item.

Mercari

Mercari is a good place to find items such as household items, electronics, video games, apparel, and kitchen appliances. The online version of a garage sale is where shoppers are looking for bargains.
