A lot has been made of the fact that the number of employees at the company is down to 2,300 from 7,500.
The new wave of departures was part of Musk's plan to downsize the company. Last week, employees who were given a stark ultimatum by Musk decided to bounce, according to Insider.
Still, Musk has plenty of supporters who want to help him improve Twitter, and he apparently just brought one into the fold on a short-term basis: George Hotz, the security hacker known for developingiOSjailbreaks and reverse engineering the PS3 before later founding Comma.ai
Hotz falls into the category of people who wouldn't want to play on a bingo board. After getting into a fight with Musk, Hotz founded Comma.ai and said that Musk kept changing the terms of his offer. It was said that Hotz's claims that his tech could beat autopilot was "unlikely". Musk and the rest of the company were wrong.
Why are you teaming up right now? Hotz has a bit more time on his hands. Hotz thinks that some of his work at Comma.ai is done for the time being. The company sells a developer kit that is compatible with more than 200 vehicles and is looking to turn it into a product.
He has a little bit of time to explore. Hotz said that he was good at things during war. Let's scale this up because I'm not good at hands-on. Are you interested in dealing with a supply chain that can make 100,000 devices a year? I don't think it's really.
It is possible that Hotz will want to prove his worth to Musk again. Last week, after he supported Musk's offer to Twitter employees, Hotz said he would be down for an internship at the company for free.
Musk replied, "Sure, let's talk"
I’ll put my money where my mouth is. I’m down for a 12 week internship at Twitter for cost of living in SF.
It’s not about accumulating capital in a dead world, it’s about making the world alive.

He said that the New Jersey had begun his internship. It sounds like a lot of work. He is in charge of searching for the social media outfit.
that’s what Elon told me my job was, and I will try my hardest to do it. I have 12 weeks
also trying to get rid of that nondismissable login pop up after you scroll a little bit ugh these things ruin the Internet https://t.co/vZbSfEqlfW

He joked today that if he just got rid of the pop up he would consider his internship a success. My laptop has a chrome extension that blocks it. I am reminded of the guy who got a job at Apple, who was able to quit the next week.
According to Insider, Musk suggested today at an all-hands meeting that the idea right now is to layer in talent. During the meeting, Musk said that there wouldn't be any more layoffs.
Musk said that employees are encouraged to make referrals and that the company is recruiting for roles in engineering and sales. It is more difficult to get confirmation from the company given that its public relations department has been abolished.
.@karpathy you want to come do ML for Twitter search? there’s a lot of low hanging fruit…
— George Hotz (@realGeorgeHotz) November 22, 2022
Hotz seems to be trying to recruit on behalf of the social networking site. Hotz asked the former director of artificial intelligence atTesla if he wanted a job at the social network after Karpathy answered to his question.
Hotz asked a question. What do you think about the quality of the search on social media? What would make you use a search engine other than the one you're using? Karpathy said that he searches on the internet on the site of the social networking site. It works pretty well.
