A Christian organization started a petition to protest Donald Trump's presidential run.
The petition was started by Faithful America. The group says it is an online Christian community that is helping the faithful to challenge Christian nationalism and white supremacy.
The organization's goal of 15,000 signatures was reached at the press time.
The group called on Christians to speak out and make it clear that Donald Trump won't get our votes.
The organization said that another Trump presidency would be a disaster for the country.
The group said that Trump made it clear in his speech that he would double down on the fascist tactics that led to the attack on the Capitol.
In its petition, Faithful America said that the Bible teaches "love, equality, and dignity," which it says is values that Trump's MAGA movement does not accept.
In an interview with Newsweek on Monday, Nathan Empsall, the executive director of Faithful America, said that Trump had "weaponized religion" in his last two campaigns for president.
Empsall said that the country and the church can't afford another four years of fascists, racism, misinformation, and egos.
At a time when several of Trump's evangelical allies have either held back from backing him or slammed him, Faithful America's position comes at a good time. At Mar-a-Lago on November 15th, Trump announced his campaign for the presidency of the United States in four years.
Robert Jeffress told Newsweek that he wouldn't endorse Trump until he won the GOP nomination.
Jeffress doesn't want to be part of a civil war between the Republicans and Democrats.
James Robison, a one-time spiritual adviser to Trump, called him an "elementary schoolchild" during a meeting of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers on Wednesday.
Robison said that they have to stop amputating each other and come together in supernatural unity.
How does Mr. Trump expect people to stop major issues if he can't stop his small issues?
The representative at the press office did not reply immediately.
