The San Francisco 49ers are heading home with a win and a tie for the lead in theNFC West.

The Niners were able to extend their win streak to three games thanks to the help of wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and running back Christian McCaffrey. Colt McCoy replaced Kyler Murray for the second week in a row as the Cards fell to 4-7.

The Niners have a perfect record against their division rivals, including a Week 2 win over Seattle that gave them control of their playoff positioning.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have been between pretender and contender this season.

They said they are a team to be feared.

The phases came together in a big way. The Niners are riding a three-game winning streak and have a perfect record in the west.

The Niners have been viewed as a real threat in theNFC all season but many were still waiting for that all to gel. The Niners didn't have to deal with any of the teams that aren't challenging.

The Niners will play five of their final seven games at Levi's Stadium and none outside the Pacific time zone after their weeklong trip to Colorado and Mexico City.

The 49ers made a run to the playoffs last season, winning seven of nine to close out the year. The Niners are getting ready to do it again.

The Niners leaned heavily on Jimmy Garoppolo in the first half. Garoppolo attempted 21 passes, nine in a row at one point and three times more than the Niners ran it in the first half. He was 14-of-21 for 153 yards with two touchdown.

He had at least two touchdown tosses in the first half in three of the last four seasons. The Niners came out of the locker room at half and ran the ball at Arizona. The 49ers ran seven of eight times on their opening possession of the third quarter.

Garoppolo was 20-of-28 for 229 yards with four touchdown and no turnovers for a rating of 131.9

The game should be described as total dominance. They got what they wanted Monday night, as the 49ers blew someone out of the water.

In the first half, Christian McCaffrey played 25 snaps to Elijah Mitchell's three, but that was Kyle Shanahan's plan all along. Mitchell was used as a second-half closer by the Niners and he was joined by McCaffrey.

The Niners have a combination that could make them a difficult team to beat in the playoffs.

On his 39-yard rushing touchdown, Deebo Samuel reached a max speed of 19.94 mph, the highest speed he has reached as a ball carrier this season.

The next game is against the Saints.

Arizona Cardinals

The ArizonaCardinals have had a bad season.

On Sundays in the US, it has been one thing for them to lose. It was one thing for them to be humiliated on "Monday Night Football" in Mexico City.

The Cards fell to 4-7 after a game that could have changed their fortunes. Four years into Kliff Kingsbury's tenure, the offense is still a work in progress, as evidenced by the fact that the Cards didn't pull themselves closer to the last playoff spot.

Colt McCoy started the second week in a row because Kyler Murray's injury was still not fully healed. The Cards ran for 67 yards and had one touchdown with just one opening day starter at right tackle. The 49ers have three powerful players: tight end George Kittle, running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

Unable to get their running game going, theCardinals left the burden of the offense on McCoy, who took hit after hit behind the patchwork offensive line With six games remaining, the Cards are looking for answers on both sides of the ball.

TheCardinals lost yards on five runs in the first half, all of which happened on first down, putting them in second and long situations before they even had a chance to break a sweat. There were three of them on the same drive. Five of the first downs that went for negative runs were on drives that produced three points and an intercept.

Even though he was sacked three times, he still threw for 218 yards and an intercept on 24 for 34 passing. He was in pain after a couple hits and his inability to make plays with his feet was an issue for the Cards all game.

Arizona was moved from 49ers territory to its own in the second quarter, thanks to a taunting penalty by DeANDRE HOPKINS. The 49ers took a 14-3 lead and never looked back, thanks in part to Colt McCoy's pick six.

In the first half, he caught seven passes for 77 yards, but only had two catches in the second half.

The next game is on Sunday.
