More than 800 all-electric pizza delivery vehicles will be put into service by Domino's in the coming months. The company wrapped the Chevrolet Bolt EV with custom branding but no bells and whistles, just combustion-free deliveries.

Domino will have a fleet of 855 new electric vehicles, to be exact, and while that is not quite enough to reach all 6,135 of the pizza shops in the US, it is more than the Chevy Spark-based ones it built with custom pizza warming. Only 155 of those were made. The new Bolts will require drivers to put the Heat Wave bags in the back of the car.

Domino's Bolts will be delivered from corporate and franchise stores. The CEO of Domino's stated that electric delivery cars make sense. Dominos may be able to attract some new employees with the fleet of ready cars, as some locations already provide vehicles for delivery drivers.

Since most stores only serve their local areas, the company thinks each car could last multiple days of deliveries without having to plug in. It's one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market with a starting price of $26,595. Domino's worked with enterprise fleet management to take care of purchasing, maintenance, and other logistics

You can see when and where the new EV delivery vehicles are on Domino's website. In states like California and Houston where Domino's has self-driving delivery cars, there aren't any currently.

The new Domino's Bolts don't have any special features, but it's understandable why the company didn't build the one with the pizza oven. If you really want to see an electric pizza delivery car with that outside oven door, Rich Rebuilds converted the DXP to aSpark EV.
