Ali Dieguez started her resale business with a few pairs of leggings. She would stop in at the gym after training.

For some, it can become a lucrative side hustle and for others, it can be a full time job.

She didn't sell on the app until she needed a job after selling the leggings. She was a student at San Diego State University and wanted something that would fit into her busy schedule. Resale was the only thing that mattered to her.

The category boomed during the early months of the Pandemic as demand for casual clothes increased. Naver, a Korean e- commerce company, is acquiring Poshmark.

March 2020 was when the Pandemic occurred and everything shut down. If I'd gotten a more conventional job, I probably wouldn't have been retained.

She expanded her inventory last year to include dresses and jeans. She also sells items on other resale platforms such as eBay and Mercari.

Insider verified that Dieguez made over $13,000 in sales on Poshmark in 2011. Dieguez put $3,668 of her earnings toward her college tuition last year, and plans to complete her bachelor's degree after one more summer class. She saved a lot of her resale earnings to enroll in a one-year massage therapy program.

Dieguez carefully schedules her days so she can manage school and her business. She woke up at 5 a.m. and went to bed at 7. She said she was kind of dull. I had the same schedule all the time.

She told Insider that when she was in school she had a daily routine that was similar to this.
