A slate of marquee games in the second week of the college basketball season resulted in tumult in the AP Top 25.
The state of North Carolina received 47 first-place votes from the media panel. Houston received nine first-place votes and moved up to second place. 3 Kansas had one first-place vote.
The week's biggest jump went to the Cavaliers, who climbed to their highest ranking since 2020.
