Booktok is one of the more well-known discovery tools, but most creators focus on one or two specific fiction genres I have been able to discover new authors and series on various forums. Take a look at what other people bought after the title in question was published. If you join an online book club, you'll be able to get their recommendations.

The archaic user interface and clunky app show that Goodreads has been around for a long time. It is owned by Amazon, which can be a deterrent for some, but it is still one of the best places to find books. Adding books to a "wanted to read" shelf will help you find them later on. How many books you read in a given time period can be tracked by Goodreads, as well as the ability to file them into your own system.

I like the idea of Amazon paying for its ebook subscription service directly. You can get access to 2 million digital titles with a $10 monthly fee. Is there anything else to love? There are other ways to get an ebook. It is possible to borrow digital books for free if you have a library card. There's a huge selection of books on websites and apps. Ebooks can be obtained through the public domain. Binge-reading has never been more affordable. Digital books go on sale a lot if you buy la carte.

A lot of books are out there. A guilty pleasure is abolished. You can find a genre that interests you. You might want 12 rich boyfriends. Maybe you would like to learn a new skill, solve a mystery before the main character does, or find out if the book is better than the movie. Ebooks can be used to read a book without fear of judgement. I think it is better to have read a lot of mysteries than to not have read at all.

There are no excuses.

You have time to read a book if you can read this sentence. You just have to find the time. It's possible to sneak it in. If you aim for 10 minutes a day, you will get there. You can read a few pages while standing in line or hiding in the bathroom. Take a break from social media and read the next few pages of your book.

You don't need a dedicated ebook reader to use them. There are many free reading apps available. If you turn on do-not-disturb mode, you can reduce the screen brightness. It won't feel like you're looking at a screen once you get over the initial adjustments.

My vocabulary has improved and I am better at spelling. Ebooks can be used to learn or escape. They have kept me company in waiting rooms, during long plane rides, and when I am trying to look busy at the coffee shop. Give it a try if it has been awhile. Don't judge my account, just don't.
