Thompson entered the game shooting just 36.3% from the field and 34.6% from three-point range. The marks would be the worst of his career.

Thompson missed the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons due to injuries, but is working himself back into shape. Sunday was a reminder of how dangerous he can be when he's hot, even though he won't reach the heights he did in his prime.

The Warriors have gone 5-2 in their last seven after a slow start to the season, and a few more showings like that would raise the ceiling.
